Perplexity's Sonar API provides grounded web search results with inline citations. AGNT plans to use this for answering user questions that require real-time information — event schedules, restaurant hours, price checks, and local news.
The integration would extend AGNT's tool executor with a web_search tool that calls Perplexity's API, returning cited answers that the agent can weave into conversation without hallucinating facts.
How it works
A planned web_search tool in the tool executor will call the Perplexity Sonar API and inject cited results into the agent's context.
