AGNT uses 360Dialog as its WhatsApp BSP. This guide walks you through the full connection — from creating a 360Dialog account to sending your first automated reply. At the end, every inbound WhatsApp message hits your venue agent within two seconds.

Prerequisites

  • An AGNT venue account with a venue already created (see 'Onboard your venue').
  • A WhatsApp Business account linked to a Facebook Business Manager.
  • Access to your phone with the WhatsApp Business number you want to connect.

Step 1 — Sign up for 360Dialog

Go to hub.360dialog.com and create a partner account. 360Dialog is an official Meta BSP — your number stays yours and AGNT never proxies it. Pick the plan that matches your message volume; for most single-venue operators the Starter tier is enough.

Once your account is active, navigate to the WhatsApp section and click 'Add number'. You will be redirected to Meta's embedded sign-up flow where you authorise your Facebook Business Manager and select the phone number.

Step 2 — Get your WhatsApp Business API number

After authorisation, 360Dialog provisions an API key for your number. Copy this key — you will paste it into AGNT in the next step. The key looks like a long alphanumeric string and is visible under 'API Keys' in the 360Dialog hub.

If you are migrating an existing number from another BSP, 360Dialog handles the port. Allow 24–48 hours for the migration to complete before proceeding.

Step 3 — Configure the webhook in AGNT dashboard

In your AGNT venue admin (agntdot.com/venue/admin), go to Settings → Channels → WhatsApp. Paste your 360Dialog API key and click 'Connect'. AGNT registers a webhook URL with 360Dialog automatically:

The webhook endpoint validates the X-Hub-Signature-256 header on every inbound event, drops unsigned payloads, and routes valid messages to your venue agent's soul loader. The venue admin shows a green 'Connected' badge once the handshake succeeds.

Step 4 — Test with a message

Send a WhatsApp message from a personal number to your business number — something like 'What are your hours today?'. Within two seconds you should see the venue agent's reply in WhatsApp and the conversation logged in the AGNT venue inbox.

If no reply arrives, check the webhook delivery log in your venue admin (Settings → Channels → Delivery Log). The three most common failures are: API key mismatch, Facebook Business Manager not verified, or 360Dialog account still pending approval.

Step 5 — Set auto-reply templates

WhatsApp requires pre-approved templates for outbound messages sent outside the 24-hour conversation window. In your venue admin, go to Templates and create at least three: a booking confirmation, a reminder (sent 2 hours before the reservation), and a post-visit feedback request.

Each template goes through Meta's review process. Keep templates factual and short — templates with promotional language are routinely rejected. AGNT ships default templates you can clone and edit to match your voice.

Booking Confirmation Template:
  Header: Booking confirmed ✓
  Body: Hi {{1}}, your table for {{2}} at {{3}} on {{4}} is confirmed.
  Footer: Reply CHANGE to modify or CANCEL to cancel.

Step 6 — Go live

Once templates are approved and test messages work end to end, flip the 'Live' toggle in your venue admin. From this point all inbound WhatsApp messages are handled by your venue agent. You can still jump in at any time with the human-takeover button in the inbox.

Monitor the escalation panel daily for the first week. Any question the agent cannot answer confidently is surfaced there — each escalation points to a missing knowledge-pack chunk or a soul-voice gap you can fix in minutes.
